nov. 14 clear calm morning in Barlocho. Went up to
Catedral on the shri goulda of Poma. People still
snowing up top, snow taken back with no or a
minimum of vegetation, but in a few places with
soil, and trail from the Catedral, new holes
in the ground, but we saw no droppings. From
the spoola could look down on top of the little
goulda and could see the ground littered with
old dead grey canes of laurel. Could they have
been lying there for 40 years? Also, you could
look down through [illegible] large leafless
leaya words and see the snow all melted for
a foot or more seriously each trunk. I don't
remember seeing this pattern in Eastern hardwood
