alcedon concinnus, 1 Colomyr, a few Phyllothrix, 2 Euryomyza and 1 Notiomiza edwardsii x T. Looff the latter 3 mtd[?] them and suggested that they send them to the museum in Buenos Aires. I looked for but detected no alcedon inscutes in other collections. Javier Belloti said that the INVAP Euryomyza was in Cumbayara/Colafoto (= Berberis) x Jan. 10 Sunny, not windy. Drove to Troful 9:30 to 11:30. Two dead hoers on road to Coflucencia, 2 between Cofluencia and the McCloid house on Lago Troful; One of them at 4 p.m. had 2 yellow pockets on [illegible] it. Had lunch with Dr. and Mrs. Felpe Garvinere Jr. at Estancia La Primavera. He says no teco-tuco there, no tucoana; were a few sheas when he was a boy there; old timers used to say lots of huemule. Took two photos for which Garvino had early photos. He recommended a book of photos by ArĂ³n Avendano, maybe available in the library of Parques in Buenos Aires; about 1900. He has 3 or more splendid mammal paintings by Jorge Mayol, and [illegible]. He is convinced that there is much more forest now, and the original forest was not cut for lumber. Then returned photos to the McCloids. Their caretaker's wife's mother lived there all her life.
