Reaver 1983 Viedma (in formis); 64 Eligmocinta, 12 Grasny?, 9 Abodons, and 5 Calomys. The Calomyz had tails of 70, 64, >59, 63, 73. Odoy's distribution map indicates that it should go Laucha. The Eligmocinta have long tails: 110, 113, 116, 105, 114, 105 for the first 24 white-bellied individuals encountered, and 81, 93, 97, 100, 94 for the first 5 grey-bellied (jaws?) encountered. The Abodones are large, white chin, large claws on hind feet, large ears (18, 18 1/2), Tails 74, >53. Hind foot 24, >21, maybe a. molinae. Day warm, sunny, windy. Drove with Kelley sisters for picnic on Floo Floo Peninsulas and tea at Karin & Rolfe's (Bellvue). Arraway lilies flowering here & there but not massive. Dec 26 Some sprinkles of rain. At 3 pm gathered 2 quarts of owl pellets at Covo Jeeves. Saw no owl, no visorbar. Very windy. Then drove to Estacion Perito Moreno. Lots of ducks, coots, snipe, 1 black-necked swan, various cowbirds. Glorious cloud effects. arranged for Gustavo Abecassis to draw the background for my exhibit of small mammals in the Municipal Museum. Dec 27 To the city dump and Pampas Hummer for birds and photos. Daisies, rosa magenta, arraway, and strip-leaved Lily blooming. Lots of Heathrobou lilies.
