Decau 1983 in green gorse, turf + wire + bamboo + berberis, caught 2 also longi before dark. Also this the mornings many sightings Dec 8. Morning calm, clear, not cold. antae trofs heel 3 also, longi. My line was interrupted except first trope spring empty (Rattus ?), Scrolled like Cholemys work in some of the Berberis meadows on Anta's line. Set for home at 12:30 via Paso Medellin and Paso de Cordoba, Vestra in bloom, + Rosa mosqueta Venus in bloom near Compleencia but not yet at Manuel H. Rafi. Dec 9. Charlie caught another Cholemys sp. -- above Tortun Chacabuco, complete with red nose and [illegible] black- and-white mouse tails. We left at 5 pm and set trope along the road to Compleencia on the west side of the road, 10 km NNE Manuel H. Rafi. We had seen open burrows here yesterday. There is some fancy new construction west of the highway at this place. The first thing we saw when we stopped was a squashed, dried big buron (Salictis cavia). There are many holes in the banks the size of shanks or [illegible], lots of Rathrodan droppings, a few two-sized droppings, lots of Betry ants, and numerous fist-sized galleries mostly open, right size for tuscos. Set about 9 steel trofs and one macabee. Neither saw nor heard tuscos. Warm, partly cloudy, some cut grass untunels.
