Transcription
a track into rich, barely grazed tussockgrass habitat,
then along a stream will rivers & kangaroos and hided
up it to cobonoo could see its first bamboo in the
distance. Rich dark light soil. Habitat resembles of the
bushy pines close Avoygo Corral, which is not far away.
Saw some digging of Andiconny's or Chebangs but
no traces signs. We did, however, find an old vertebrae
two jaw at the mouth of a ? Caniine? den under a
rock outcrop, plus a few bone fragments, scattered
back & dash. Saw 1 Ciero with smallest rock,
no bones until down near the ranch headquarters,
too scary for them up in the bushy grass during the
winter?
Packed up a dozen horns and pellets of the same
root under the window as previous 2 samples.
May 23 Sunny all day with scattered clouds and no wind.
Put about 50 ft. & traps out at the roadside of Km 14,
same area as a week ago x 40 chimneys there in one
block; saw no garbage for them, a couple of flakey, and
occasional teros diggings. Quite diverse vegetation:
thorny choco trees up to level 2 underdown, Jaua sofhip,
Barkaris, mico scrub, retamo, choca, naved, Aggava
phlartus (spelled), several grasses, small water trees,
a ground mat with Baccharis-like flowers, ?Sbeca.
Schodophlum = Polopitch = Fobrium infuncta
negra, desert like shrub like Queldaugidree, a ?Cereuso,
and the same needle-leaved desert shrub or ?Cornolla
moon about 2 days short of full.
