abo longi. My live at the edge of the campo and into dense bosque across the river caught (abo oliv), 4 Gryz, 5 abo longi, and 1 [illegible] and 1 Chelenyz. Started to cloud up at noon. Broke camp at 2:00 pm and came home via Juan de Garceres and la Rinconada, yellow jackets at Jopo Carrillo Chico (east end). The Ocotin locality will be Arroyo del Escurial, 2km E 3km N Cerro Huanguichue, 1140m. The [illegible] was in a Museum Special set left to a Sherman. Home at 7:15 pm. Summary: The presence of 8 species including Gryz and Chelenyz in the open near "campo" was a surprise. (maybe 9 species if one of the abo/oliv turns out to be insulana). No pantherhines x The d. [illegible] seem to be small. The presence an armadillo at Jopo Verde was a surprise. The five habitat on black Pumice was open enough, but surrounded completely by forest. The Ocotin habitat, lava pumice on edge of larga/ronli is unique and seems totally different than the cipris/bush habitat above the [illegible]'s home where the INVAL crew are said to have caught one and where we saw signs that looked more like desmaepez x The Valdivian influence is not great - one patch of [illegible] along the road, no fuchsia or Drinypz. Saw and heard no birds.
