photos of Estancia La Primavera, and Maurice Sa Diverno also has old photos. Selveira is now working on a cave on the south side of the Rio Tropal on Maurice's estancia. Spent some time with Fernando Kravitz & family. Found four interesting old postcards in the flea market showing scenes in Neuquen & Rio Negro. Not dated, unfortunately. Jim and Ann Wood were on the plane to Bariloche. They say there are leaf-cutter ants on their Estancia on the west side of the Colon Cura, especially on north-facing slopes. Student Javier Calvo dropped in at J with a proposal for a study of bird and mouse populations in a large forest on Cerro Otto, then Michel Christie at 9:00. They have catched Octodon at both ends of Sogo Curvilo, and acomampy pruscae at Sogo Soloq. They burned up a number of specimens trying to freeze-dry them in an oven with moth flakes; spilled! Michel has lost numerous field partners out during the summer and they have saved about 500 skulls; mostly also large. April 28 - up at 6:30 to get in line for Foreign Identification papers. no luck. Weather cold & drizzly, but sun came out about noon. Dassi't get light until 8 a.m. Got car running. Had coffee with Siegfried Rubelin, who was awaiting arrival of glass girls. He has been taking 2 "cores from various logs
