Season 1982 alcedon longifolius nov.4 Dark Sage troffed for 2 nights at Painted Bluff and caught and dissected 26 longifolius: 8♀♀ and 18♂♂. wt of ♀♀ 35,39,33,30,35,26,33,33 and males: 41,38,42,33,29,35,35,31,30,38,37,43,32,47,35, 42,31,30. Apparently none of 26♀♀ had definite features although he recorded cL in several, males 38g or larger had testes ≥12 mm and one 35-g ♂ had 11 mm tests, others <38g had testes 3 to 8 mm. nov.7 Zhen S San Vegas. Caught 3 in Boulder under river rock, especially lanky places. They are small and not very red. nov.8 Capture (alone) ate apple, cheese-flavored garlic food, some sepal/pellets, and prob. date.
