back to Jacma in tie to just barely get
some chipping done before all the stores shut
for lunch. So we headed for Santa. -- happily,
to get away from the heat.
As we drove into Santa there were
two lying dancers coming down the street - men
in dark suits waving handkerchiefs, 4 girls
in beautiful skirts etc. We drove the truck
in front of Sophie's house & parked & I
went in to see her (Angelica greeted me on the
sidewalk). Sophie looked thin & tired, a bit
late pregnant! She seemed quite subdued. We
talked a while, while the kids gathered from
all over. I gave Sophie the presents for herself
& her girls, & I gave Angelica her thing,
but they tucked them away without open[ing] the.
Sophie say the dancers were celebrat[ing] carnival -
th[e] last day today (since last Wednesday!).
We had a good talk while we assembled a bunch
of stuff we needed, then said goodbye. We pack[
e]d of children on the sidewalk all watch as ride to
the plaza, so Dave & I walked up while Paje
drove at least 8 of them in the front seat. Got
too there put the separated ourselves from the
& drove up to Aoequin camp. We are in the
c[lo]uds, & the campsite is carpeted with wild
mott & gre[n]. The water is very low in the aoeqin:
