Pearson 1982 53 Eleguodontia (cont.) May 12. 99 traps in Stylique + back meadow caught 20 Eleguodontia. 49 traps around the Periphery of the 2 expedures at Peata (within which Simon Martin had trapped hardly a week ago) caught today 5 yesterday 4 Eleguodontia. About 85 traps yesterday at the NE corner of the INTA/Inefaty (believed adjacent to the expedition hill, only lightly grazed) caught 3 Eleguos. 3 caltines/mitt rats and 8 x 10 / Plaster cage jumped around and for several hours drifted to different corners of the cage. Mata torida seeds were eaten. Ground open almost half way . note the larger size of the specimens from 10 km WSW Canello, and, as before, great variability in sizes of ears and maybe other parts such as tail. May 19 Measurements of one with an unusually long tail: 200x108x24x19 feet. maybe old ones have long tails + big ears? stomach green and pink (= meat? or potato boiled?)
