jacdaci. Rather sparse sagebrush. Ante/pint (7) museum specime! April 28 Some drizzle during night, no wind. I also saw the and 3 Elqueadotes in tropes, discarded. Drove Route 2-3 all day - overcast, muddy, and camped in a gravel pit about 60 km WNW Valcheta. Very bare open desert soil covered with pebbles, scattered thornbushes of various sorts and farces, no grass, heavy grazing. Put out about 55 tropes. Along the road during the day saw 2 groups of 3 Pheas about the size of large turkeys, no grouse or, I squashed hare, I squashed hairy armadillo at some place where we stopped during the day, saw 3 kinds of droppings at the base of large dense clumps of bushes: quailry size, mouse size, and Pantherinae size of torture scat and pointed. At our present campsite are numerous piles of large Dobloto's droppings, but we have not seen the host. April 29 Night overcast, then clearing, morning clear. Tropes held 20 Elqueadotas (55 tropes). Stopped at 11 to shine 45 km W of Valcheta. Broke open a big thorny sort of albud and a grassy cape row out, caught him in a thorn patch. Broke open several more (more of them quite as easy) but nothing in them except dead burps. Drove till 6 pm and camped about 4 hours W of Sierre Grande, part tropes 2 km W, and the rest 4 km W.
