The glacier had retreated since 1949. They went up the right (eastern) side of the

August 1xTA. Left about 11:30 for the INTA research station at
(Vazquey en Vieja, arrival about 1:30 and put out the
gird. Although the weather in Barolo has been
perfect for weeks (sunny, little wind), it rascal
about 1/2 inch at 1xTA on about 3rd +4th.
There
has been furious recent gullying on the grid,
washing down of sheaf of good droppings, and some
places as still muddy. Drainage obviously is poor.
The gerstories quite dry, never brown, yet got
with mostly big shemanes, supplemented with the
new over-crop Ruthenon (of which well offed (
about 1/3 of them, at least one in every row), and about
5 small shemones. River was working at site station.
