I put out 13 more traps along the stream close to the water, and Anta put out about 20 more. In the afternoon went off into the side of the ranch house and found one group of 3 adult Histulus macrodus, 2 of them with naked young attacked. They were in a crevice, quiet, but awake and warm. Kept the female mother and young, released the other two trying in the generator shed, and 10 [illegible] are dry well. Dec. 13 night mostly clear, warm. Anta's traps near the dry well catched 1 big shrews, 1 Onys, 2 also longi's, and 2 spine-tails. The other house caught 1 Rattles young, 1 SD audiscamp, 2 Onys, 4 also longi's, and 1 also kantho, and 1 Notrump macrodus. The latter on a dry slope under a blooming coletra intermixed with a Berberis and a nemes; mainly were little laurels, Stipa, and a fruiting Acacia. Definitely a decency situation. My line had 6 also longi's, 3 Onys, and 2 Rattles. When we stopped at the ranch on the way home, Zuli Hovie + chickens were there. When she saw the stuffed Rattles she said that the dark-furred animal that she had reported was about like that one, dark on the back. Home
