(yellow-belly). Nov 23 Late evening Gabriel Raffard dropped in, Mr. Felipe Valverde and his colleague at the university. Left 9:30 for the INTA Research Station at Vileanigen Viejo with Sage, AKP, Susan Martin, and Javier Vallati. The station has a couple of horses and a nice caretaker's home. Put out an 11 x 11 grid in staffo habitat in a place that caretaker Don Jose says has been only lightly grazed in recent years (although a herd of goats were driven through it as we were setting traps, plus a couple of cows). Weather sunny, warm, not windy. Saw 2 Scissortails while setting and numerous Golondrinas. Sage put out 40 MS, most of them in very lush red, green, minty etc. in the fence around the spring and anta and Susan put 30 in sage brush, Barbarea clumps etc. Nov 24 Light drizzle during the night, many scattered clouds with thunder at 1 pm. Grid traps held nothing, forest not touched. Sage's line bed nothing and armitas and Susan bed 1 Alcidae fawtho. Visited the eplosurer with Adolfo Garmiento. Ten years of excluding barest livestock in one eplosure and just excluding livestock in another. There are noticeable differences but not dramatic. Many more seed heads on the grasses within the eplosure. At one place in the double eplosure where the soil is sandy and extra deep were lots of Ranthredon droppings. Many regards.
