Found numerous pellets under the clipped under some matentrees at the base of the cliffs, also a recently dead downy young of a large species of owl. Two large, broad-winged, almost tailless, ring-marked hawks hung on the wind over the while me searched. Viscera droppings in The closest road across to Simoy Riles is more than some of the cravces! See Dec 29 for contents of pellets 6am. On our way back to the car over the top of the cliffs, stone, scattered bushes, very windy, saw a green monster lizard running into the shelter of a small bush. Caught it plus 3 other lizards under stones in the same open stoney place. Stopped at a nice marshy place 4 km west of the turnoff from the main road. This is where Arroyo Chacabua crosses under the Villa Acayotera road, the arroyo on its way to Fortun Chocobueo. Between the road and the fence is maybe 100 % of dense marshy grass with only a little junco? mixed in. On the other side of the fence, the grass is cutten down short and junco? prevails + This is the densest+ bushest grass that have seen. If Eucampis is a moist dense-grass liver, the disappearance of Eucampis when sheep arrived could be explained easily. Set traps here at 8 pm. It is 5 am NW Nohuel Huapi. Dec.13 morning very windy. Aunt's traps (30 ns and 4 steel) on the north side of the road caught 1 Motonoldiv, 4 Andesumps, 4 also longi, and 1 Raithe. my traps on the south side of the road (37 ns ad 3 steel) had 1 Motion macro, 2 Andesumps, 2 Orppgth, 11 also longi, 4 Raithre. Marshy-grassy sets caught mostly also longi and Dryz. Raithre in semi-arid sets around the periphery of the marsh.
