pieces of cut bamboo, pieces 3 or 4 meters long, diameter between match/pencil. One burrow had a couple of quarts of two-sized droppings pushed out of it. We set pairs of jump traps or macaque traps at about 8 sets of burrows, plus assorted snags/traps and big skernane, all in dense bamboo, some of it the big species, some probably small species. Also set 20 museum specials along the fishing trail along the river through Ericson's thicket bamboo/plus logs. Anita also set 20 in same habitat. Cloudy. Probably finished calling the acronym traps about 5 p.m., ran them at 6:30 p.m., and into jump traps were 1 notiomys ctenodons and 3 acromyces alive caught by one front foot, They squeaked slightly. Oct. 30 Miguel put out some big skernanes in bamboo/mire. Temp. in Bandele is 5°, here don't seem [Ruca Ruca], mostly overcast. My traps through second growth along river had 2 aka longi, 1 Cryzonga, 1 notiomaldia. Anita's had in the steel traps were 3 notio vadiir, 2 aka longi, and 2 more acromyces (dead). Miguel's traps through dense bamboo + big cobue caught 4 aka longi, Zapatela's but not seeing. In the afternoon put about 15 museum specials in grass squeezes rope across the river. Ran the acromyces traps at 7 p.m.; one notio vadiir a new place. Oct. 31 Morning clear, little frost. My traps across the river had 4 Cryz and 3 aka longi. The acromyces traps held 1 aka longi and 2 acromyces. These were in the two new traps 6 p.m. after,
