Oct.27 night + AM cloudy, not cold, my 23 traps in broken-brush secondary forest caught 5 Cmyz, 3 Abo longi, 1 Aulesompy, and 1 chuco (Whinseyfd). Same line as yesterday; most of the catch along log fence at edge of clearing. Saw zonotrichia, but no song. Wrens singing. Anta's 46 traps (repeat line) had 1 Cmyz, 3 Abo longi, and 1 Abo oliv. My line at the waterfall had 1 frenomy, 2 Abo longi, and 2 Cmyz. Also an Cmyz at the chicken house. Anta's line at the waterfall: 2 Abo longi and 1 Cmyz. Oct.28 Horacio mentioned a day last winter when temps went up to 13° and humming, with insects flying. We have seen no doves or parrots here, I pr. spanon hawks. Left for Barrlocks 2 pm. Oct.28 Barrlocks. Slight drizzle in A.M., windy, then clear + windy. The totals of mixed sex traps on the grid at El Verado were: 4 Aulesompy, all yg. ad; 1 adult toto voldeo; 15 Cmyzompy all adult except one old; 8 Abo olive all adult except one
