Left about noon; light rain.

Eligmodonta 9
Aulicomyz 2

Saw very fresh vizcacha droppings in the cliffs near
the owls. Nothing breeding, although there were some quite
small Oryzomys.
April 28 Barilabo
April 29 Rio Castanos Cvero. Left Barilobo 9:40, somewhat cloudy,
than clear. The autumn colors of trees and ferns along the
Rio Mosa magnificent. Made camp at our usual place
on the Rio Castano Cvero until Maurice Dunball and set
out the grid, except for lost 3 traps. As we walked up
to the grid a Piping Owl was being mobbed by a dozen
ravetters. Also saw downy woodpecker north of grid.
At 5:30 put out 25 museum specials in pairs,
one baited with crystallized honey, one with cornmeal.
