302 on the trail to Cantaros, just on the Puerto Blanco side of the river (arroyo Clavos), all big Shermana still rolled oats. 18 big and 11 small Sheranas miguel Bellaran set about [illegible] on the other side of this river. muy forest had huge donkey's, quite a few [Safarothaga] moderate amounts of bamboo, and many dandy huge fallen logs. Anita set about 30 big Shermana between the correo and the garages. Good bamboo clumps all Baste set about 20 in another piece of forest. A large clump of dead bamboo below the correo, photographed last year (see cobreda) looks this year just like last year, perhaps a little greayer but still with fine twigs, leaves, and stems of flower heads. Obviously, those clumps that have only green canes still standing must have bloomed perhaps 5 to 6 years ago. at 7pm caught on the first cast a 6 1/2 lbs. 75 cm. trout in the Rio Frias. Rain beginning about 7:30. On the drive to Puerto Ramulo noticed that new growth at the rock tree where I trophied last year. Dec. 13 Some rain during night, some clear, muy trofie had 4 also longi, Anita had 2 Orny, 1 also dive, miguel caught 5 also longi, as all 1 also longi. Morning mostly cloudy, no rain. There seem to be more larrizo shots this year than last. Walked around and was impressed by lack of ground cover. Returned to Barbados motosca in trofie in the arbol at Dec. 14 Frost on car in AM (Barbados). All day sunny, in the arbol at Dec. 15 Heard tucos at the arbol at 4:20 am with caimus toder, although yesterday I could feel so fresh digging there. All morning no clouds, met Mr. Eduardo Cuvelli and Daminia at a refuge in Brava armed with rodent lures from Cueva Trofiel.
