O zernight a cofiune also longi ate bamboo shoot and an Aulexcomp
ate soft floo-floo.
Driuned until 11, then drove to San Martin de los Andes for
lunch. Talked to a parks caretaker en route about flowering or
dead bamboo but he didn't know of any. After lunch talked
to 2 parkguards in San Martin, one of them a Renuboll graduate,
but they knew of no dead or flowering 'too. Then drove north
Past Lago Lobo to Lago Curibue past fairly dry fenced
country with verno bukes, Vetro bukes in bloom,
a different species of Meltopgae, short- leofed bamboo.
The parkguard at the entrance to Lago Curibue (Laguo Sanin)
named Roberto Garly was one of Renuboll's boys and knew
about bamboo, but didn't know of any flowering. Off and
on dry for wind wind. Drove along the south shore of the
lakes as far as the grove of Aruacava tree, then took
a couple of kms to a campground that used to be site of
a cabin, but out saw trofi on tangled hillslo with
cloara, bownkoda, bunchgrass, Baccharis, Piles, a few small Meltopgae.
Anta (but trofs) & edge of dense bamboo and in point
color golfer sign but not recent, set one mooseb and
2 yumpstrofe.

Lago Curibue, 30 km W from San Martin de los Andes, Prov. Neuquen,
night forestosa, occasional sprinkles, morning scattered clouds,
windy. My trofs had 5 also longi, Anta had 4 also longi and
one Orup. Discardel 5 abelen & and 1 Orup.
Stopped to talk with ranger Garly, who says the common
name of the short-leafed bamboo is guila. We saw short-leof
and long-leof together, tho all about 2 km east of
