The full colors of lenpa are gorgeous, a few red-brown cottonwoods gorgeous, n. antarctica dull yellow brown. Bonbardy yellow Poplars have lost their leaves. Camped along a stream between Foyel and San Pelelos, fairly arid, with cypress and lenpa along the stream; sorberry, retama, cypress, and marten on the flats away from the stream. Shot about 28 museum specials along the stream (under roots, boarders, etc). Anita put 33 in the flats; just before dusk 2 teen-age fishermen worked their way downstream past camp (and past my trap lines). Then they returned upstream and I caught them stealing 2 traps; rewarded tthem. April 26 Night mostly overcast, but lightly. I caught much, never dropped below 56°, 60° at dawn.
