Matteral de Sarga 1,500m - (4) Sarga Matteral. This is the highest and is a tangle of hard-down N1 pumice. The site in their plant canoes no. 18. Last 14 MS, and 7 Shermany. (western) Drove back to Zogo wasardi for the night. No late seen at church. Day was clear sunny and warm, every calm. These trafficking locations are (1) in the valley of the Rio Castano Orero which comes off of Cerro Tronador and (2)(3) and (4) on the north side of the valley at increasing altitudes, about 44 km W of Baradero. Nov. 30 Night clear & calm. Temp'd 6:30 AM -3°. Trops as follows: (1) Mallin - In my trap I caught one merino and 1 Abdon Longfilis, Anto's 2 Abdon long.. (2) Bosque Traps - 1 Notomys with short tail and long front claws cut Good fur, looks like a miniature mountain beaver, and 10 Abdon Long'filis. (3) Bosque de Sarga - 1 Abdon long'file (all Sherman, poorly set) (4) Matteral de Sarga - 1 Notomys as above. The Sherman were simply unsuccessful. One of Anto's shadows in the Bosque was caught between 9 and 1 PM. at 5 pm. divided off the traps evenly and set in 3 places 2600ft. (1) Gallery forest along the river (lower than any of the above). There was U. antartica and Chusquea, rotten scrubby Bosque Bojo, 3000ft. (2) a burn 20 yrs ago. This was brushy almost imperceptible, Bosque Bojo- (3) another burn, slightly larger trees, Chusquea, woodcutters. 2700 ft. Day was clear & sunny; lots of small iridescent bugs in the mallin, and even up in the Sarga matteral.
