Fresh greenish, grass-filled droppings near the hole, rather irregular shape, some of them pointed at one end. Oct.25 Set 54 Sherman with rolled oats at Punta Gara at 6 p.m. Yellow iris in full bloom. Traps in about same place as in June with Ring - some in grass along trail, some in "forest" near edge of marsh, and some at edge of berry tangle. Very few signs of mice - warm, few mosquitoes. Oct.26 Traps held 1 big Oryzomyus, 3 young Oxypodius about 25 grams, and 2 adult Opy. Trap apart many big clumps of cartilage: all of them with mouse nests, mostly old ones. One of them had 3 young Opy about 10 days old. Saw guinea pigs. Oct.27 Set 54 Shermons at Ezeiza. 15 of them near the Police academy and the rest at the usual places. Oct.28 Traps held 10 male Abodera (only one at the Police School) and 1 Oryzomyus 2+ Oct.29 Left 8:45 a.m. with Dolphin, Mainbridge, and Long, for Valeria del mar. Arrived 3:30, carried the study area etc., and set about 40 Shermons in 3 small clusters on the area. Some catodera clumps and some good vegetation. For traps, numerous pellets etc. Night
