I-7 1 mi. E. San Bartolome Station, 5200 ft., south side of
valley. Aug. 12. Mollé, shrubs, and dense weeds (dry), some
knee-high, many with stick-tight seeds. Some grass. Weed cover
unusually rich following unusually heavy rains. Tracks run from
foreground up ridge. Oryzopsis [illegible] abundant in foreground
near mollé but nothing among weeds on the ridge.
