IV-8, 20 mi SSE Canstogui 7500ft. Oct. 9. Leatherted shrike
including thorn trees up to 10 ft and "chirato buck" up to 5 ft, yatephila, low opuntia,
a stumpy sharp pineapple. No saguaro or fuzzy cactus. Practically no grass,
no bunch grass. Tryphie (3 arrows) caught Geonymys and Phyllostera caprinus
in large numbers.
