Feb.20 Put out about 30 live traps, along Tunnel Rd, Orinda,
across from Charles Hill Rd. Weedy patch. Some
evidence of mice, especially eating teasel leaves.
Put them in afternoon and had 3 Merastria and 1 Mura.
Ten traps across from Dunton-Severus Church had 1 Merastria.
Checked these off but left others.
Feb.21 In a.m. had 3 more Merastria, 1 more Mura, and
nine Berthros.
Feb.28 Put about 45 live traps in weedy place (grass-
cornin) on Orinda side of ridge along Inspiration
Point road. Not much sign.
Feb.29 Caught 8 Peromyscus, 2 Berthro, 2 Merastria.
March 6 With Blockel + Lechleiter to Marin Co. at noon
set 104 traps (mostly live but some cage) at
the marsh 3 1/2 mi. NE [illegible], then
32 at the half-open marsh south of the road 1 mi.
E of Corte Madera. Looked on the hill west
of Rents 101 at Corte Madera and found
quite a bit of Merastria sign. Not as much sign
as last year, but plenty. Pretty good
sign at the other places also.
Put traps at Son Rafael marsh at 4 and 7 p.m.

March 7 Picked up traps 9 a.m. Total score: 42 Merastria
