Logbook
Dec 7 Rio Torato, 11,000ft; 15 km. N of Torato, Mogreque - saw two large ones in tailings from a mine. Big angular chunks of blue stone. These are lowest known of in Peru.
Dec 8 Anita shot one of these. Contained 30mm fetus.
Dec 10 Mr Thano, an American engineer, saw a female this morning carry off a macocha.
Dec 22 Foguro Valeros, 15,000. A old big tester but somewhat dark & flabby. Sex not recorded; mat + grey molt pattern.
March 14 82 km. W of Puno, 14,000ft. 3 shot today: 1 late pregnant, 1 early pregnant (about 20mm c R), 1 young adult F. Carl shot a recently pregnant female 2 days ago. Have not seen any babies in the colonies during the past month.
March 20 Urde shot here (82 km. W of Puno) in the past few days have been increasing condition. Of 3 FF, one late preg, 1 recently preg, 1 parous but not recently preg. Almost all have had abdominal roundworms.
April 12 Recently Partement & cut Livini
April 25 Coacodra. Portaling FF seen in the big colony, and numerous grey, lively, 1/3rd to 1/2 grown young - probably only a few weeks old. Of 3 FF shot, 2 were definitely non-preg, one multiparous.
