IV Parts in CB Koford notes 1952 March 27 North Cap Rock West Cap Rock South Cap Rock Cloud (3)(4) (2) (1) ① Found troche about 8:50. Bird at spent night roost in rocks (bare patch in snow plus 3 feathers). Stood walked (roaring of feeding) about 300 yds when Mary flushed it. Flew about 300yds, landed as indicated around end of West Cap Rock. ② About 9:15 found troche of ② and trail 10yds back to nest with 6 unincured eggs. Bird 2 had fed within 150 yds of nest, then ran one north ridge (±350yds from nest) in company with ③+④ ③+④ Found troche came down hill from about 400 yds away toward nest. Roosted within 100 yds. of nest, then ran NE, gain troche of ②, disappear over ridge. Returned to observation rock at 10:30 via saddle between Nard W Cap Rock. Didn't see bird on nest (no binoculars), so built blind. at 10:40, saw a bird standing by nest, then plink off North. Thinking I had frightened it and that blind nearer close, moved at 11:00 to more distant perch. When Koford came ± 11:20, we looked at nest and there were 5 eggs, unincured.
