a. Put 35 musk rats in the grass-alder grove at the further shell beach and 15± in sedge-grass meadow along the main road where the Shell Beach road turns off.
Greenwald put out same.
april 9 Total catch (including Greenwald's line) 7 dorm, 15 Peromyscus, and 3 Meristea in the alder swamp and 2 dorm, 1 Reithro and 4 Peromyscus in the grass-sedge meadow. Stopped at Mr. Goldwin's Barn at Pinerose to look for bats.
No Cory ! No Myotis on stair landing. Only bats found were Tadarida in the garage. They were cold but able to scramble. Not able to fly.
april 11 Put 75 Sherman traps out in Tiller acres from Camp Pole in Comium + grass, 6-7 pm.
april 12 Three skrews (oratus), 2 Peromyscus, 2 Meristea, 4 Reithro (all mole). Left traps set.
april 13 Three Reithros (1/2), 4 Meristea, 3 skrews (oratus), 1 Peromyscus, 1 large q Triturus, and 1 mole cricket.

april 19 Driving from San Carlos to San Mill saw a band of about a dozen collared peccaries. They had been hiding in a large culvert until we drove past. No baby ones. They were near Cressive Springs in desert country but near the beginning of pines. Spent night on a front porch at San Mill because of rain.
april 20 Went exploring in morning—mostly open, grazed yellow pine but oaky and grassy on some ridges. Saw signs of
