6 p.m. 1 soreh sp.
At 11 p.m. last night saw another porcupine in a
st. miller bunch out in the meadow - this porky looked
almost as big as a bear. On the 7 a.m.-run caught
a bob-tailed Soreh sp. out in the grassy meadow. She
died in the afternoon. Much mammary tissue and
9 small embryos - probably her second litter.
Saw a cottontail? in the arterias and Hallwell
spotted wood-rat nest on top of a rocky
pinacle.
The first zopuas that had been hibernating
died, a male, no fat. The three to-ist ones
so far have been & 8.
Reranged trap lines in seach of more Zopuas.
All so far baited with walnuts. Have seen two
Zopuas at night, both in the water in narrow streams,
trying to leap but waterbound.
