in morning. Total catch 9 Meristus, 10 Joreh,
4 Kethro, and 1 Mna. Heard gust-bored and saw
many 2 red-wings apparently with territories. Wood rat
in house where we slept (on porch). at 10 p.m.
found a Seeloborne between boards in a pile of
lumber. Although outside temperature was not
cold he seemed torpid.
Brent put some nest boxes around the good
Meristua marsh NE of San Rafael. I lifted a
piece of draft paper in the marsh and found a
Joreh and scat of straw and coarse stone—much
coursier than mouse nest. The Joreh escaped.
The Solvornia is becoming more prevalent, but
still rather dead-looking.

Meristua and a few Kuthro. Saw 1 bat in brick piles
(looked like M. yunnansuui) and caught a couple of Hyla.
York—lighted for brush substitutes but saw none.
