at Orinda, 2 Reithro, (3) Soreh, and 1 Pero manic.
at Tilden. No Microtus despite fact that we were
trapping for them.
Left 11:30 for Marin Co to look for Microtus.
Put 33 Bisons in grass + Salicornia one leg of Bay
on China Camp road, 3 1/2 mi. NE San Rafael and
88 in grass and Salicornia = 7 mi NE San Rafael.
Let them at 2 p.m. for Microtus - lots of runway,
droppings and cut plant material.
at 9 p.m. had following: 8 Microtus,
9 Soreh, 2 Pero manic, 7 Reithro, 1 Mna. 8 Soreh
alive but think one escaped in transferring. Several
Microtus escaped live traps. Night clear, windy.
Feb 20
Wind died down during night. Ice on some traps.
Ran traps at 7 a.m.: 11 Microtus, 10 Soreh, 1 Mna, 1 Pero,
9 Reithro. Again many escapes from the Sherman with
short doors. Total score: 120 traps: 19 Microtus, 19
Soreh, 3 Pero, 16 Reithro, 2 Mna. = 59.
Forgot to mention under Feb 19 our visit to Golden's
farm at Smerness, 4 Eptereina? under board on
stairs leading and > Cory, not together. 1 torped in attic, 1 awake in attic, and 1 torpedo down same
ride chute as another 2 last year. Kept all 3
of these and released the 2 that we captured early
last September, and kept in zoology cold room
all winter. Basked her 49-123505.
