O. P. PEARSON 1950 at Orinda, 2 Reithro, (3) Soreh, and 1 Pero manic. at Tilden. No Microtus despite fact that we were trapping for them. Left 11:30 for Marin Co to look for Microtus. Put 33 Bisons in grass + Salicornia one leg of Bay on China Camp road, 3 1/2 mi. NE San Rafael and 88 in grass and Salicornia = 7 mi NE San Rafael. Let them at 2 p.m. for Microtus - lots of runway, droppings and cut plant material. at 9 p.m. had following: 8 Microtus, 9 Soreh, 2 Pero manic, 7 Reithro, 1 Mna. 8 Soreh alive but think one escaped in transferring. Several Microtus escaped live traps. Night clear, windy. Feb 20 Wind died down during night. Ice on some traps. Ran traps at 7 a.m.: 11 Microtus, 10 Soreh, 1 Mna, 1 Pero, 9 Reithro. Again many escapes from the Sherman with short doors. Total score: 120 traps: 19 Microtus, 19 Soreh, 3 Pero, 16 Reithro, 2 Mna. = 59. Forgot to mention under Feb 19 our visit to Golden's farm at Smerness, 4 Eptereina? under board on stairs leading and > Cory, not together. 1 torped in attic, 1 awake in attic, and 1 torpedo down same ride chute as another 2 last year. Kept all 3 of these and released the 2 that we captured early last September, and kept in zoology cold room all winter. Basked her 49-123505.
