O. P. PEARSON Venus Aug 23 Yesterday found about 6 large masses (1-2 qts.) of droppings 1-inch in diameter and composed exclusively of grasshoppers. Some droppings on some of the hills were moist and fresh, all except 1 pile were on tops of rocks outcroppings out in the prairie (where grasshopper are abundant); one was at the foot of a tree in a patch of oaks in the prairie.
