Aug 18 at 4 p.m. went to abandoned house south of lagoon.
Large nest of shingles sticks in attic. Tore it apart and
a few minutes later shot a woodrat nearby. It
was dusky-frosted rather than bushy-tailed as I had hoped
Aug 20 One caught about 9:40 p.m. in bushlove spring or nest
nearby (French camp, 3100ft)
Aug 21 Shot 1 of 2 seen by jacklight near spring at French
camp about 9:15 p.m.
