O. P. PEARSON Epitaxius fuscus Aug.16 Found 6 in 1" spaces between the timbers of the northern end of the Mod River Bridge 4 min. N of creata, and 4 at the south end. Two more at the north end could not be revealed, all were toped despite the rumble of trucks overhead. All had droppings under their crocks usually 2 or more in a crock. Of the 6 skinned so far, 5 are ff. Aug.17 The other 4 are females also. Aug.19 Found 5 in a single crock under northern end of Mod River Bridge at 6:30 a.m. They were slightly toped but not as much so as the other day. 3 escaped. Aug.20 Many of these appeared early both last night and tonight over Willson Creek (6:45 and 6:55 p.m.), even earlier than Mr. californicus. Flies at about 100 ft. altitude at first but soon came lower. Murray & Shot 5.
