aug. 19 Caught one on walnut-baited museum special at very edge of stream half mile north of Big Jozoon bridge. Type was in somewhat brushy alder-spruce forest with shrub willows and fern. Definitely woods, although 100 yds downstream and through a concrete culvert under the road was a grass-sedge meadow. Merhy in similar sets caught Sorex trowbridgei, Zapus, and Lerampens marianletus.
