PEARSON 1949 57 May 6 Hunted red-wing blackbirds etc. beginning at 5:30 a.m., then picked up traps about 8 a.m. 9 more Minerates, several of them young, and one Mice [all in Solomona]. Mr. Kenthaadventuringa. There done to implant redwing/falubaris. May 29 Left 6:45 a.m. with May Koford aunt, et al. for actua springs. Left aunt + children at Putah Creek (via Vacaville). No bats in other over kitchen at actua springs where we collected and banded April 28. Many vocatoven and much noise in kitchen below may have scared them away. Manager said many showed up in the socialhall a week ago, but he drove them out with aerosol bombs. Then looked in furthest of two tunnels at sharp turn of road at actua mines. This one had contained no bats April 28, but today had 1 torpid Cory. The other tunnel, which we had not been shown before, is about the same depth and had one cluster of Cory with young. Caught all except 2. [illegible] of them were unbandled, 30 of them were from the 32 banded over the kitchen April 28. Most had nursing young, a few late preg., and one not rather preg. nor nursing. For composition of cluster, size & ratio of young, etc., see notes of M.K.
