chipmunks making a total of 8 in the morning,
5 of them in artemisia and 3 in mahogany...
appearently all same kind. There were 3 more
in these traps in the P.M.: 2 in artemisia
and 1 in mahogany. Picked up those traps in P.M.
Saw a cottontail in the mountain mahogany
this morning. Drove to Bridgeport at lunch time -

The original 35-trap line caught 4 Pameins, 2
Mierstra longicardus and 1 [illegible] sp. The 49-traps
line caught 1 Mierstra, 1 Pameins, 1 [illegible] sp,
3 L. palmatris, and 2 Jepsons, one of which
was caught by the trail and curled up in
hibernating position. I'd later recovered.

chipmunks and a porcupine shot this morning

mole trochs in the aspen grove below the
meadow, so we stayed overnight after Benson
set for the moles. But shooting as usual
in evening.
July 25
One mole and a gopher in the moles
traps. Couldn't trail down the mountain Mahogany
in Jepson. Saved specimen of it and [illegible]
Left about 9 AM? for Bridgeport, Brockie,
anvra, and Fletcher, looked for bats in
