Pearson 1947 39 cliff tunnel + stove path flume stevens river ferry snagrunner bridge Lake dam knight ferry 4 mi flume lounge looked in 5 of the jockeese hill mines at 9 pm but no bats. Nov.14 Drove down to the Trivolume River Bridge ESE of Jacksonville. Found only 1 Myotis yumanensis under the bridge and none in the two tunnels (about 50 ft deep) along the railroad tracks downstream from the bridge. The next large bridge on the way home (near large crusher? mill and decayed brick factory) had good wooden beams and many droppings but no bats. 1 mi S. Linnerness, Marin Co., Calif Dec 14. Left 3:30 with Carl + Mary Kopford. Looked in Mr. Golden's barn shortly before dark and found 1 ? Eptesicus under the tin at the stair landing. Removed it but left one other Eptesicus (or My. calif? ) in situ. (this found scattered during the evening) also 1 torpid Corynorhina in attic down one of the side "shouts" under roof on left (north) side. Did not disturb it. Then went to "Lendi's" barn in center of Linnerness where we saw + caught 1 corynorhina at (1410) at 8 p.m. no bats under the tin on landing, at 10 p.m. 2 bats more there. The Cory looked unmoved. Temp. outside 42°; in attic 44°. at 12, 3, & 6am 2 bats under tin and Cory unmoved. Temp. outside at 6 am was 28° (remarkably cold) with heavy frost. Temp. in attic near Cory 35°. Left the Cory undisturbed but collected 2 bandids from under the tin / ? Eptesicus + 1 ? My. calif.
