54x19x9x13 forearm 15mm
forgotten (lightest of those examined. Recorded as 2.2 g. when
removed from its mother at noon May 29. Killed 10 a.m. May 30.
Weight 2.2g. on top of beam balance. Skull 14mm long. Sand in follicles

Brought both from Aetna Springs April 28 and kept in cold room (bone
room) + fed. Killed May 30. Mygale large. Fetuses in it. Born;
swelling 17x10 [illegible] x x 9 [dors-vent]. Fetus 17mm. CR, &
made spontaneous movements and heart was beating. Placenta
9x6mm. Male corpuscles under direct scope. Fetuses 2) ♂ 37x9x
7x9 forearm 9.5 skull 11mm.

8.6 g.
cought Aetna Mines May 29. Gave birth to young May 30 about 10 a.m.
Killed May 31 5 p.m. = 30 hrs. post-partum. Mygale very large
milk effesceable. Vaginal opening quite large, somewhat "raw" looking.
Mammary tissues oval, about 8x1.5 x 1.5. Rt. horn of uterus still large
and "collapsed," 6mm long and 5 mm. dorso-vent. when flattened. Only
small follicles seen in both ovaries with dissecting scope. N.B. There is
a slight possibility that this ♀ is only 6-24 hrs post-partum.
In sections: much accumulated corpus luteum in left ovary. Intestinal tissues
very taut - like, no large or med. follicles.

Baby of above ♀. Mawes + chaps well, squishes loudly. Skull 13mm long,

June 1, young looks screaming, weighs 2.0 g. June 3 baby died, killed mother.
7mm of child mutilated and still present on baby. Forearm still 15mm. Mygale
very large milk effesceable. Vagina quite open but not torn at all.
Stoutly. Rt. horn large + collapsed, 6 mm long and compressed ant.-post.
so that it measures 5mm dorso-vent. Skull of baby 13½ mm. long a ♀
