1558 ♀ Corynorchinus rafinesquei
caught polymorph cave, modoc fern beds, Feb. 5, 1949. Kept in allardthe.
with ♂ on March 26 & 27. April 17 dery : both horns of interi small, rt horn slightly
thicker. swollen. follicles seen in rt ovary. left not spawned. Self fed
until killed May 9. Uterus small, at horn slightly larger. Mph small. ovaries
with small folicles only (no clear eggs)
Cetra springs, 800 ft., Napa Co., Calif.
1559 ♀ Corynorchinus rafinesquei
caught April 27. Kept in warm room [dark-room], Killed May 9.
Right horn swollen, about 5 mm. long. but not spherical. Ovaries
also big. Mph small.
1560 ♀ Corynorchinus rafinesquei
caught April 28. Kept in warm room [dark-room]. Spry May 9.
Swollen uterus approx. 5 mm., looked healthy although much smaller than
the drumps in the colony 2 weeks ago. Lived up again. Killed May 30.
Mph very small. No signs of fetus. Rt. horn slightly larger than left but only
2mm ant-post. O.V. not conspicuous, white-shelled but faintly. Larvae interia
so pale as a background. O.V. tortuous. ovaries with small red follicles.

horn large but horns 7 x 4 1/2 mm is shrivelled, not very ot spherical.
