P. PEARSON 1949 73 1545 ♀ Corynophorus rafinesquii as 1537. large bump in rt. horn, about 11mm long. Removed both ovaries, marked rt. ear. Stitches came open Sunday (April 15), died April 17. 1546 ♀ Corynophorus rafinesquii as 1537, nipped small. large bump in rt horn about 11mm. long. Removed both ovaries. marked left ear. Died April 22. Rt. horn large & flabby. 1547 ♂ Corynophorus rafinesquii 7.7 g. after springs. Having alone in atric with about 60 ♀♀ (pregnant). caught 11 a.m. april 15. killed 1 p.m. april 16. Testis white, fairly firm; accessory small, 2 mm. across; Testa 3 ½ mm. Ejaculate much smaller, 2 ½ mm. No sperm in epididymus. In sections: numerous spits (divisions) but no spermatia or later stages seen. Sutured tubules fairly abundant, cellularly. 1548 ♀ Corynophorus rafinesquii caught in elbert mine, 24 mi. E. of Lakeport, Lake Co. Temp. 66°. dominated females. With 14 ♂♂ + 14 ♀♀. kept alone in cage. Ovaries: 3/31 rt. horn large but no embryo. killed April 17. Underside pigmented, naked. B.V. thick-walled, rt horn only 2 mm. across (cut - front) but gives thick dorsum ventrally giving a swollen appearance. no follicles of any sort or corpora seen in either ovary under dissecting scope. San Quentin Marin Co., Calif. 1549 ♂ Sorex vagrans vagrans caught March 23, died April 27. total 6 mm. 87 x 36 x 13 x 7 4.0 g. 1 mi. NE Sulphur Bank Mine, 1500 ft., Lake Co. Calif. (10 mi.
