Caught Mar. 9. Kept in 45° room until Dec. 29, then taken home and fed.
Operated Jan. 17. Not preg.
Operated Jan 24. Not preg. Nipples small. Killed with ether. Uteri rather small. Blood vessel white sheathed. Right ovary no follicles seen.
Left ovary, no follicles seen. Precipitate sperm in uterus + vagina.
Very little of interest in vagina.
One atretic follicle right ovary, all others in uteri and oviduct. Epithelium of oviduct degenerating. Vagina thick but not cornified.
1424 ♀ Corynorhinus rafinesquai
Caught Mar. 9. Kept in 45° room as control for 1422 + 1423. Killed Jan. 17. Torpid when removed from cold room, aroused rapidly. 7.0 g. Nipple tiny. No fat. B.V. large. Rt. horn slightly larger than left. B.V. not white-sheathed, normal, follicles or corpora seen. Pharynxia. Internal tissues more dulled than 1422. One small follicle in Lt. ovary. Oviduct very secretory. Many sperm in vagina, cervix, uterus, + oviduct.
1425 ♀ Corynorhinus rafinesquai
Caught Mar. 9. Kept in 45° room as control for 1422 + 1423. Killed Jan. 25. Good body. 7.8 g. No fat. Nipple small. Rt. horn > 2 mm., thicker than left. B.V. conspicuously white-sheathed. No large follicles or corpora seen in ovaries. Oviducts look unusually large and smears made by slashing oviduct V. G. test in drop of .75 saline contained many cornified cells, also 1-2 rigour sperm and a few dead ones. Uterus not cut open.

Nipple large. Caught Jan 15, A.M. & killed Jan 16. 8.6 g.
8.6 grams. Torpid, temperature of cave +1° C. Not much fat. Uterus medium size, right horn longer than left. Blood vessel conspicuously white-sheathed. No large follicles or corpora seen in right ovary or left. One mid follicle in the small left ovary. Many uteruses in uterus. Sperm at both two-uteri junctions.
1427 ♀ Corynorhinus rafinesquai
Taken as 1426 Torpid, temperature of cave +1° C. 7.7 g.
7.7 grams. Nipple tiny. Some fat. Uterus very small (much smaller than 1426). Right horn scarcely larger than left. Blood vessel not conspicuously white-sheathed. Right ovary without large follicles or corpora. Ditto left ovary. In oviducts abundant sperm in uteri. No large, mid-, or irregular follicles in either ovary.
1428 ♀ Corynorhinus rafinesquai
Taken as 1426. Died on way home.
Nipple tiny. Not much fat. Uterus very small as in 1427.
Distance across top of T 4.5 mm. Horns 1 mm thick.
Right horn same size as left. Blood vessel not white-sheathed.
Left ovry with black spot. Nothing in left ovary.
