PEARSON 1948 44 1.3mi SE Innes, Marin Co., Calif. Oct. 20, 1948. 1343 ♀ Comptochilus rafinesquei internatus 110x52x11x37 82g cought in afternoon in barn. Killed Oct. 21, 2pm. Mipples medium, skin around them quite bare and bright pink-red. Vagina noted as quit open on Oct.20 but only with small tiny opening on Oct.21. Banded 41-167923 on Aug.10. Recorded vascular, rt. horn larger. Vagina seems wide, med-small follicle in both ovaries. No large follicle or corpora seen under dissecting scope. No fat. Insetions: no large follicle or corpora. Intretubal cells not extremely interlaced. Ovariohepatic vessels not thick-walled. No sperm. Vagina thick stratified but not cornified 1344 ♀ Mystes yamensis natura 89x38=10x15 6.95. cought at night Oct.20 mi barn. Killed Oct.21, 2pm. Mipple small, much fat. Both horns about same size. no large or med follicles seen under dissecting scope. 1345 ♂ Mystes yamensis natura 86x40x9x16 5.4g. cought + killed as 1344, Tetas not prominant. 5mm. No fat. 1346 ♀ Tadarida mexicana cought San Francisco in house on October 25. Very fat. Rt. ovary + horn much larger than left. No large follicle seen under dissecting scope. No sperm in vagina or uterus. No skin rash. Rad's Meatown, Modera Co., Calif. 1347 ♀ Zapus princeps BD 988 cought Rad's Meadow, Nuders co., Sept 5, 1948. Animative when cought, weighed 16.7 gm. Hibernated Oct 29+30. Died Oct.31. Betty's note say "was definitely hibernating 1348 ♂ Zapus princeps BD 990 Cought Rad's Meadow Sept 5. Died Nov. 3, wt. 17.1 gm when cought Knolville, Napa Co., Calif. November 4 1349 ♀ Dipodomyx heermanni 282x171x42x17 cought by W.M Forgham in August, 1948, killed November 4, 1947
