Splenectomized Aug 2, Pst in cold room Sept 24 - Listerized. Died Oct 13. Had high temperature infection and low RBC count (4,750,100) on Oct 6 while febrile. Normal RBC count about 14,000,000 t. 16 gms. Death possibly from influenza. large intestine. Uterus gray, rather thin. No fat. Blood discharge at anus. Caught Red's Meadow Madera Co, by Betty Dame Sept 5, 1948. 1329 ♀ Zapus princeps B.D. 976 Died Oct 15. Blood discharge at anus as in 1328 but large intestine only slightly inflamed. 23.5 g. much fat. Fur OK. Uterus pale, medium thickness, no tears 1.3 mm Pst S.E Pomeracez Marin Co. Calif. Oct 16, 1948 1330 ♀ Coryphomys rafinesquae intermedius 11/ x 53 x 11 x 39 Shpt in barn in afternoon. Banded MK 46 - 6672. Nipples small, Vagina open by very small slit. Some fat. Rt. uterus larger than left. Ovaries large but no large follicles seen. Apparently lactating. Banded as adult July 16, 1947. May 30 1945 with young. August 10, 1945 Lactating. Interstitial cells not particular. Laterally as large or red follicles. Uterine B.V. thick-walled but no sperm. 1331 ♀ Coryphomys rafinesquae intermedius 104 x 51/ x 11 x 36 Shpt in barn in afternoon. Banded MK # 6672 41-167929 Nipples smallish. Fat. Rt. horn considerably larger. No large follicles seen. Banded Aug 10, 1945, recorded as "lactating?" at that time. No large follicles. Many mitoses megamerosa. Uterine B.V. path thick wall, no sperm.
