It then carried it to the far end of the bar and called once, loudly, as if for mate. A Pomarine came down river and the long tail flew up & protected the meat while the pomarine veered off. The other long tail arrived and they both ate & tugged at the morsel for about 5 minutes. It had grey collar and speckled tail coverts. It was smaller than adult and lacked control pectrices. July Nest across stream, nest fenced in had me chick and the other egg piped, adult, hit me in the head.
