Childs 1960 Lemmus June 3 Barrow, Alaska went to beachridge with Mother in p.m. Lemmus everywhere in bare areas. Tundra muddled and dembed. They are feeding on what could be dug out of the permafrost. All surface vegeta- tion gone except mosses which they seem to ignore. Watched a seal calf. Caught a black one.
