Charles 1955 Lemmon 12. Aug 23 Point Barrow, Alaska pushed up assembling a note turnout of more sunny climate. On the SW side of cyclone 41 there was some snow caught and held by the hardware cloth so that there was a difference of about an inch between the inside and outside snow levels. The heavy pellet area in cyclone 44 was bare as was the heavy pellet areas surrounding it. Do they come out of the anns to defecate? The snow depth was 11-12 cm. around ex 31 and it was a harder, more solid covering than 21 or 11. Ex 21 had 7-9 cm of snow with much more vegetation showing than in 31. Ex 11 had 12-13 cm snow with the seed heads of Dupontia some 18 cm above the surface. Dampert more snow will be held here than in the other more exposed and less vegetated areas. There has been some melting today and the snow is of good snowman making consistency. Tonight about 2130 it
