May 18 Banns, Alaska
Reported present since April by the
MD at the village. A few were seen
around camp. This p.m., a flock
of 30 were seen migrating through
south of the lab. They stopped, bathed
and drank in melted water on top of
some drums.
20 May
287 m territory in the storage area and
both landed. Small flocks are moving
through. 30-40 are concentrated
around the garbage dumps. Two
females were seen and unattached.
23 May Warmwright, Alaska
Good numbers here and in pairs.
Nest box building is underway in a
nest box outside the window of
the school where we stay.
30 May Pittmeier River, Cape Sabine, Alaska
Two seen flying along the snow bank.
