1605 Snowy Owl on mound where jargon trap was set.
05 ♀ fed, settled. It is apparent now that the ♂ is not in evidence.

1719 The bird has been gone one hour now. It may have deserted.
The young are still lively and gaped when I shook the nest. The Bird seen at the nest. I do not recall pattern of ♀ vs ♂ but I do remember there was some difficulty distinguishing one from the other. looked like a ♀ in molt. It did not approach the nest. Fruits are becoming more numerous next.
